Physical Description		Like all Caitians H'Rass's hair grows all over his body, with a longer mane around his head. Although his colouring is a similar shade to the typical lion he has a reddish patch over his right eye which he claims was left by a childhood infection.

General Overview		H'Rass is generally happy as can be told by his gentle purring. However he has a mean streak that can manifest when provoked. Although he does make friends easily he is easy to offend, and once offended heavens help you.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Strong, fast and agile. Has superior hearing in the upper pitch ranges and superior night vision Like all Caitians H'Rass hates involuantary immersion in water. He is unable to digest plant matter, relying entire on meat, preferably freshly slaughtered.

Personal History		H'rass comes from a long line of Caitian Starfleet officers. His great grandfather had the distinction of sitting on the court-martial board for Admiral James T Kirk following the theft and destruction of the USS Enterprise. His grandfather also rose to the rank of Admiral, whilst other members of his family have held a number of ranks in Starfleet Coming from a large family H'Rass is well aware of familial obligations and despite his youth has four children of his own with a pair of young Caitian females back home. However his first loyalty is always to the Federation and Starfleet, a trait that his son Fralotine has already begun to show. Born on the Cait homeworld into his father's pack in the Earth year 2351 H'Rass grew up hunting and studying on the Southern Plains of the planets Eastern continent. Although he spent his first years practicing his hunting skills on domesticated animals kept for food H'Rass quickly tired of the practice and by the age of four (five in Federation Standards years) was already beginning to hunt the wild animals of the plains and eastern marches. With his father away large periods of time H'Rass looked to his elder bothers for guidance and quickly became a highly skilled tracker and hunter. At the age of nine (twelve in Federation Standards years) H'Rass went on an extended hunting trip in the North Passes with a group of fellow cublings. He was gone for more than a month during which time he had no contact with his family. Towards the end of his trip H'Rass was seperated from the main group for three days during which time he came across a large animal similar to an Vulcan sehlat. Although he successfully killed the animal he was badly wounded. When the search party found him two days later he was in a coma and suffering from a dangerous infection. His father left his post on the Romulan Neutral Zone to sit by his bedside for nearly a month. Following his recovery H'Rass stayed with his father aboard the USS Victory for a year before returning home. When H'Rass was twelve his father again returned to Cait, this time to take part in the ritual of driving his son from the pack. Like most youngsters H'Rass fought his father during the ritual. Unlike most youngsters however he successfully overcame his father. Under Caitian law H'Rass had three choices, kill his father and take the pack as his own, exile his father or request a gift in exchange for returning the pack to the elder Caitian. H'Rass chose the latter course and asked for a recommendation to Starfleet as his gift. His father agreed without apprehension. Unbeknowst to H'Rass his father also named him as his successor should he fail to return to Cait in the future. H'Rass attended Starfleet Academy in 2366 and was a friend of Harry Kim, Danny Bryd and Frank McAllister. Kim introduced H'Rass to the game of Parrises squares where his speed and agility proved a great assistance to the team. During Kim's first two wins as Champion of the Academy H'Rass played as part of the winning team before leading an opposing team which lost in the final game during their final year. H'Rass studied on the engineering track showing a skill with warp fields though his greatest triumphs came in the field of Temporal Mechanics Following their graduation Kim went on to serve aboard USS Voyager, resulting in a seven year away mission in the Delta Quadrant. H'Rass was unable to attend the memorial ceremony held for the crew when the ship was declared lost due to his being assigned as an engineer aboard the USS Centaur. H'Rass earned a number of commendations aboard the Centaur both from the Chief Engineer and Captain Reynolds. Amongst these was his eventual promotion to Lieutenant junior grade. He continued to serve aboard the Centaur during the early days of the Dominion War. The USS Centaur survived the initial months of fighting with little damage and few crew losses. However their good luck failed at the culminating battle of Operation Return. Shortly before the arrival of the Klingon Defence Forces the USS Centaur was engaged by a Galor Class vessel and suffered heavy casualties including Captain Reynolds and the majority of the command staff. The few survivors managed to evacuate the ship before it exploded drifting in escape pods for two days before rescue. H'Rass was cleared fit for duty and reassigned to the USS Grissom as a junior engineer. The loss of the USS Centaur caused H'Rass to reach out to his father for the first time since he joined Starfleet. The two Caitians agreed to keep in contact and did so for some time. H'Rass also began to make friends aboard the USS Grissom. Although his personnel reports never showed the same florish as they had aboard the Centaur he continued to do well enough to be near the top of his class promotions list. His service aboard the USS Grissom was to be short however. During the Battle of Ricktor Prime in 2375 the USS Grissom was destroyed with only six crew members surviving out of the entire crew, H'Rass amongst them. Following this loss Starfleet Medical suggested he be assigned a duty behind the front lines. Desperately in need of ships Starfleet Command assigned H'Rass to the Utopia Planetia Shipyards where he served out the remainder of the war. Shortly before the invasion of Cardassia a letter arrived from his father offering him a post as an engineer aboard the USS Lakota. However his transfer was delayed until after the invasion orders had been drawn up and he was unable to join them in time. Following the signing of the Treaty of Bajor H'Rass was informed that his father's ship was destroyed at the Battle of Cardassia. H'Rass requested a leave of absence and accompanied his fathers body home to Cait, returning home for the first time in nine years. Upon returning to Cait H'Rass took part in a traditional burial ceremony for his father accompanied by his fathers male relatives. This was the first time he had met most of them since the male lineages on Cait tend not to mix due to their slightly territorial nature. However he did spend time with his paternal grandfather, a former Starfleet admiral who had retired to Cait seventeen years earlier. H'Rass also spent time looking after the welfare of his remaining family members. Since his father had named him as the pack's new leader in case of his death, H'Rass was forced to ensure their survival in a society governed by a tradition of combat. During the three months he remained on Cait he spent for a short time on the western continent when his father had grown up. A chance encounter whilst on a hunting trip brought him into contact with Shasolin W'Rass K'Lass a cultural traditions advocate serving the western continents council of elders. H'Rass and Shasolin engaged in a two months courtship (a length of time considered extremely long by most conservative Caitians.) which led to his interest in taking her as his mate. H'Rass approached her father Tranotin W'Rass O'Bass, a prominent member of the western council of elders to broach the subject and received no negative opinions about the match. The Caitian wedding was attended by all of H'Rass's relatives from his father's pack, the packs of his three brothers and the packs of his two married sisters. During the ceremony H'Rass engaged Tranotin in the ritual combat, (a traditional part of the ceremony where the "groom" must prove his ability to defend the "bride"). H'Rass proved far more capable a fighter than Tranotin originally expected, and to his shame found himself at H'Rass's mercy in the middle of a crowded wedding where the loss could not be hidden. Faced with the same decision he had made with regards his father nine years earlier H'Rass returned the pack to Shasolin's father. As a gift both for the return of his pack and in honour of his daughters wedding Tranotin named H'Rass is his succesor to the council of elders. Although honoured by the position on the council, especially at his young age, H'Rass decided to return to Starfleet and named Tranotin as his representative until his return. In exchange Tranotin offered H'rass the choice of one of his pack's unmarried females. Refusing to engage H'Rass in combat a second time due to the prior victory Hrass was mated to Shasolin's half-sister Wasoline W'Rass P'Ress. Together the three of them returned to Mars and H'Rass's post at Utopia Planetia Shipyards. Shasoline converted her advocacy position on Cait to a legal standing that allowed her to serve as a lawyer in most Federation jurisdictions, whilst Wasoline found work at a local school teaching children about other races. A year later in 2376 three events of great pleasure occurred for H'Rass. Firstly his prima mate Shasolin gave birth to cubs Chiboline and Fralotine on Stardate 53187.3. H'Rass, Shasolin, Wasoline, and the cubs returned to Cait where H'Rass began preparations for his mates and the two cubs to remain with his father's pack. However before they arrived on Cait Wasoline was also discovered to be pregnant. H'Rass returned to Utopia Planetia for five months before returning to Cait for the births of Frasoline and Drahaline on Stardate 53792.5. Upon returning to Utopia Planetia H'Rass received a promotion to full Lieutenant. He continued to serve at the yards despite being offered a position aboard the newly commissioned USS Pike, prefering to remain at a fixed location relatively near his children for at least the forseeable future. H'Rass was also present when the USS Voyager returned to Utopia Planetia for refitting after it's seven year journey ended in December of the following year, offering him a chance to reunite with his former classmate Ensign Kim. Over the next three years H'Rass returned to Cait six times to ensure that he was not the same as his absentee father had been. However as his fellow classmates began achieving the ranks of Lieutenant Commander he began to realise that neglecting his career in favour of his children's welfare would result in his failing to secure any further promotions,and he was suggested to either take an extended leave of absence to focus on his children, entitling him to return with his promotions prospects restored or to take another post which would offer the chance of earning further promtions, but neglecting his children for longer periods of time. With no available positions on Cait or any nearby worlds H'Rass began looking at another career track outside of the engineering division. During this time he regularly communicated with Harry Kim about his time in the Delta Quadrant. It was this series of communciations that drove him to look at the Operations division and request a transfer to shipboard duties. H'Rass remained at Utopia Planetia yards until 2380 and was present during the refit of the USS Enterprise-E following the Battle of Bassen Rift. Despite the repair work being done the crew of the USS Enterprise arranged for one final game of Parrises Squares for the departing Captain Riker against a team from the Shipyards. H'Rass chose not to play despite a numbers of approaches by him fellow workers but took the time to watch the game from the sidelines. H'Rass received a transfer to the USS Mercury in mid 2380 and was assigned the position of Chief Operations Officer
