General Overview		Dr. Maggie Stein is the typical "earth mother"; deeply concerned for any and all in her care, her medicine is as likely to include a toasted bagel and cream cheese as anything from Starfleet's medical arsenal.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Her endurance is phenomenal; able to stay on duty for hours that would exhaust most younger medical crewpeople. On the other hand, she would be no one's choice in a firefight due to her notriously bad aim with any sort of weapon. Curiously, though, her surgical talents reflect a lifetime of experience and honor- winning skills.
Ambitions		Undecided. Maggie has seen too much death and violence, and needs a career change to keep her optimistic spirit and sanity.
Hobbies & Interests		When not on duty, Maggie Stein loves to cook and will frequently hand out casseroles, soups, baked desserts, etc., to the crew. When her husband was alive, they'd celebrate with some champagne and ballroom dancing.

Personal History		Born in Miami Beach, Florida, Earth; Maggie has always been drawn to a career in medicine. Following her graduation from Starfleet Medical Academy, Dr. Stein was offered a teaching position as an assistant and stayed on after receiving her medical degree. Along with her academic career, Maggie kept her skills sharp as a volunteer surgeon at the Starfleet Veterans Hospital in Oakland, California. She specialized in reconstructive surgery and therapy.
Service Record		Prior to the Dominion war, Maggie was a professor at Starfleet Medical Academy. During the war, Maggie joined her husband (a noteworthy psychologist) on Betazed along with her granddaughter Naomi but when that planet was taken by the Dominion, both her husband and granddaughter died in custody. Maggie survived, but sometimes loses sleep with "survivors guilt".
