Personal History		James was born on Earth in Huntsville, Alabama on Arpil 1st, 2354. Transferred from Von Braun High School directly to the Academy in January, 2371. He went through the "Operations analysis and control" course, learning the various starfleet ships inside out and backwards. He once challenged one of his professors, the former cheif engineer of the Galaxy-class USS Venture, to a foot race from the Bridge to Engineering. James managed to beat his instructor by 45 seconds by alternating both hallway and jefferies tubes, allowing him to pass almost all barriers. This earned him his current name Jef, which also reflects his initials. Graduated in Febuary, 2374 and was immediately shipped out to Starbase 86 to help with repairs ship systems during the Dominion War. Continued serving on Starbase 86 after the war ended, where he was noted by the station commander for his incessint need for improvement. This led to recommendations for his transfer, though it was more to stop annoying the poor commander of the dead-end station.
