General Overview		Incredibly friendly and outgoing, Tigh has a great bedside manner. He's also often introspective and religious, believing deeply in the Prophets and their teachings. He also is extremely caring, a trait developed over years of treating patients.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Tigh is a skilled trauma medic and clinical doctor, though he often plays this down. He's often afraid of losing patients, though his command duties of late have thrown that into the back of his mind. He's also very afraid of commitment in romantic relationships, due to his Terran wife's passing several years ago.

Personal History		Tigh was a young man when the occupation of Bajor ended. He was in one of the first waves of students that returned to public schools, and an early addition to the newly re-built universities. He earned his medical doctorate approximately six months prior to Bajor's entry into the Federation. He enrolled in Starfleet academy and excelled quickly, earning a double major in forensic medicine and command procedures. He was assigned ship-board first on the USS Mercury, and after two years of exemplary service was made a trauma doctor in the 'Fleet hospital on Andoria. It was there he met his future wife, Lieutenant Gabrielle Haller, and the two soon married and had a child, Hannah. Gabrielle was transferred to the Mississippi soon after and was killed in an Orion attack on the vessel. He was recruited into command school to finalize his training in command soon after Gaby's death, and became an administrator for a time in the Andoria Hospital. In that time he was fiercely protective of his daughter and raised her as best he could. He was transferred away from the hospital and bounced around for about two years aboard various ships. He later received word of his transfer to the Starbase Protector.
