Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Gregory is a trained scientist and this forms a fundamental core of his personality. He approaches all situations in a rational manner and rarely loses his cool. As a trained biologist, he tends to approach most situations from a darwinistic perspective. Some find him cool and off-putting but those that take the time to get to know him realize he's a sensitive and warm individual. He is loyal to the death to those he considers friends and has a strong sense of duty and honor. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | Gregory's strengths are generally of the intellectual sort. He is a highly-trained scientist as well as a very intelligent man. He is quite capable at problem solving and approaching stressful situations in a level-headed and rational manner in order to find the best possible solution. He's also quite able to 'think outside the box' when necessary. Gregory's weaknesses lie mainly in the social arena. His rational demeanor often comes off as cold and he has trouble connecting with people. When approaching a problem, he sometimes does not take the human element into account, which can lead to unpredictable results. Empathizing is not always easy for him either. |
|
| Ambitions | Gregory hopes to return to the civil sector once his obligated service is complete and pursue a career in biological research. | |
| Hobbies & Interests | Gregory greatly enjoys reading, particularly science-fiction and scientific periodicals. He's also an avid 4-D chess player. To stay in shape he likes to jog and swim. | |

| Personal History | Gregory Everett was born on Vega Colony twenty-eight years ago to father Albert and mother Elain. His parents never had another child and Gregory grew up receiving all the attention his parents had to give. Gregory's father was a high school science teacher and his mother was a medical assistant. At an early age he showed a predisposition towards science with a particular fascination with the field of biology. Imbued by his parents with a strong sense of personal responsibility, Gregory chose to apply for Starfleet Academy before graduating High School rather than have his parents pay for post-secondary studies. Ensign Everett graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2372 and was assigned to the USS Clement where he served as a junior science officer. There was little science to be done however as only a year into his assignment, the Dominion War broke out. The Clement participated in several military actions and suffered heavy casualties, resulting in Ensign Everett being made de facto Chief Science Officer of the vessel. After the war, Gregory was given the opportunity to attend post-graduate studies for three years where he earned a doctorate in comparative xenobiology. On the completion of his studies, he was assigned to a four-year tour aboard the USS Mercury as the Chief Science Officer. Upon completion of his tour of duty, Gregory plans on returning to the civilian sector. |
